Celebrating Hermes

At a lunch at Tiana Torii's house, the guest of honor was Hermes CEO Robert Chavez, and she decorated with Hermes scarves and the luxury retailer's signature color.

That '70s spirit

It was a '70s kind of evening downtown at Catherine's Closet, where Kimberly Mitsuoka was dressed in the spirit of Catherine Fong's first anniversary at her 125 Merchant St. location.

On the red carpet

At HIFF's Oscar Night party, designer Andy South walked the red carpet and was greeted by Monica Ivey.

Dumpling's the thing

At Jin Din Rou, manager Bob shows what's important, the Taiwanese dumpling!

At Nikolai Tsang and Kristin Woods Minx party, I picked up camouflage Minx on my hands, which look kind of alien, and holiday plaid with a few sparkly crystals on my toes. Afterward, I wished I had picked something more festive on my hands, in line with the season.

Shopping for a car. My preferences would be for a BMW Z3 or Z4 or Audi TT. I like Mazda Miatas too, but they're a little light and crushable considering how many bad drivers are out there.
