Dinner at Asuka Nabe + Shabu Shabu

Had a delicious meal of ribeye and pork loin shabu shabu at Asuka Nabe + Shabu Shabu restaurant in Kaimuki, with sides of lobster balls, mixed mushrooms (shimeji, oyster, king, shiitake and enoki), pork- and-chicken meatballs, pumpkin, choy sum and baby bok choy. Yum, yum, yum. Easy to have eyes bigger than your stomach here.

Sampled the first of the season's matsutake during a Gochiso dinner hosted by Marukai at Zenshu restaurant.

I had time to cook today. Decided to make use of some dehydrated Hamakua mushrooms I was given so made a mushroom casserole with fresh broilers and gray oysters as well. Was looking for shiitake, but didn't find at Times or Safeway.
